1. Marktplatz
Marktplatz is area with numerous restaurants and bars. You can sit and relax in the shade of the trees on one of the gardens available. Wonderful medieval half-timbered houses is all around it, and you will have magnificient view on them. Don't miss to try any of German specialties - sausages, soups or any kind of beverage, especially beer. There are mixture of juices for kids and all those who doesn't drink cocktails.
3. Palace Windeck
Palace Windeck Partly restaurated ruin of a medieval stronghold. Lager enclosure and decent perspective of the town, the waterway Rhine valley and the sourrounding slopes of the Odenwald. Around 30 minutes stroll from downtown by foot, or a couple of minutes if you have a car.
5. Walking path
Walking path is located near two Castles and Buchkligen. Forest is a place where you can find whole new level of energy. Signs for walking path are all over the city. You must climb on mount Wachenberg to reach to the path. Pub "Grüner Baum" is a place where you can take a rest.
2. Gerberbachviertel
Gerberbachviertel is an old town in the middle of Marktplatz. Windeck castle can be visited if you come in this are. There are old style avenues and half-timbered houses from ancient times. In medieval times, workers lived here and went to work. You will feel like you have travel with time machine to the past.
4. Schlosspark
Exotenwald is loaded with trees from far parts North America and Japan. Herbal garden is close Schlosspark and Marktplatz. It is open every day from 10 am to 7 pm from april to september. Mansion Wachenburg manufactured toward the start of the twentieth century by a corps of (previous) understudies. Around 1h stroll from downtown by foot, or a couple of minutes via auto.
