1. Saint Peter's Church
Saint Peter's Church is named after St. Peter since 1688. The church retains vestiges of the twelfth century. It still contains several pieces of the old church. During the excavations on the site of the old building was found a sarcophagus. Under the tower, there is a pillar of the thirteenth century and the baptistery of the old church which is demolished after the Revolution.
3. The Notre Dame des Sables
The Notre Dame des Sables chapel was built by the Chemin des Sables in 1932. The chapel was rebuilt in 1999. Since that day, the Christmas Mass is celebrated every year in this chapel. If you visit Vigneux sur Seine on the christmass, be sure to check this event no matter what.
5. Fountain Stone Vigneux-sur-Seine
In Rue Pierre Marin, visitors may see the remains of the stone fountain Vigneux-sur-Seine. This old fountain was built in 1863 in front of the castle Dorgères and established for the public service. 2. The castle Sheepfolds
The castle was built by the Louis XI, in the fifteenth century. Due to the passage of several owners, the castle degrades and becomes even uninhabitable. It is rebuilt in the nineteenth century. The castle can be visited during Heritage Days. It has the great entry with acacia trees and giant redwood.
4. The lake Montalbot
With more than fourty four hectares, the lake Montalbot is one of the biggest water areas in the Paris region. It is ideal for sailing, canoeing and all the other water sports. It is a real fishermens haven. They may catch roach, catfish, perch and carp. Just over the bridge visitors may find the wildest landscapes. Vigneux-sur-Seine is the capital of the canton of Vigneux sur-Seine. It is a small family town with little less then twenty seven thousand people.
