1. St. Blaise Church
The St. Blaise Church has been constructed in the beautiful Art-Deco style. This building is a real example of early twentieth Century architecture. The St. Blaise Church has a large collection of neo-Byzantine mosaics and some interesting modern examples of stained glass. This collection is one of most valuable collections in the world.
3. Centre Thermal des Domes
Centre Thermal des Domes is one of the more recognizable building at the heart of Vichy. It is a strange mixture of domes and towers that have been covered in tiles to decorate them. Originally, this building was designed to deal with the large amount of warm springs that rise nearby. Today, the building is one of the towns top shopping arcades.
5. Parc des Sources
Parc des Sources is one of the most beautiful public parks in the whole are. It was established at the beginning of the nineteenth century on the orders of Napoleon. The Parc des Sources has a great covered promenade running through the centre. The wonderful landscaping of the park creates a pastoral feel for visitors. This park is a true oasis of natural beauty.
2. Hall des Sources
Hall des Sources is the very large glass building on the northern edge of the Parc des Sources. This is the point at which several natural springs rise from the ground. Visitors are welcome to sit in the hall and watch the waters bubble up from low beneath the ground. It is a real natural wonder.
4. The 'Palais des Congres-Opera'
The 'Palais des Congres-Opera' was built as a casino in the second half of the nineteenth century by the order of Napoleon III. It became the first entertainment site in Vichy. The Large room of the Opera, inaugurated on the beginning of the twentieth century, is great for various shows.
Vichy is a place full with valuable things to see. There are so many parks, modern buildings and museums, and you will have enough time to visit all of them.
