What to do and see in Tweed Heads

Tweed Heads is a very tempting place settled in the Valley where you can discover World Heritage rainforests, country cafes, art galleries and history buildings. Things to do in Tweed Heads in New South Wales are really nice and connected to nature.

This is area with some of the most beautiful national parks in the whole Australia. They offer treks for the bush walkers of any age and condition. It was once known as Observatory Hills and is 81 meters high and gives you a wonderful view of what 22 million years of erosion has done to volcano.

This is easy 30 minutes walk from Minjungbal Aboriginal Cultural Centre in Tweed Heads to Ukerebagh Nature Reserve thorough raised timber boardwalk that goes over the river flats and mangrove wetlands. You will also pass by the old ceremonial bora ring which in old times was used for the initiation of young Aboriginal boys in the manhood.

4. Point Danger

This is the lighthouse and it was built in 1970 to commemorate 200 years of Captain Cook's voyage along east coast of Australia. There you can also see bronze sculpture between the four columns made with ballast from Cook's Endeavour.
