Must do and see in Takatsuki

Takatsuki is a city spotted in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. In 2010, the city had a populace of 353,000. The city was established on January 1, 1943. It is spotted just in the middle of Kyoto and Osaka. Because of the thing that it is close to Kyoto and Osaka, city is growing rapidly in last decade. It is a worker town. Things to do here are:

1. Kaleidoscope

In Kurokabe Square, there is the Giant Kaleidoscope, which is spotted north of the Kurokabe Museum of Glass Art. From the display center, walk north and to the right. In front of it, there is a sign where you can easily see Kaleiodoscope. Nice place and satisfaction is guaranteed.

3. Square

A large number of the old townhouse and facilities are settled here on main square, but it is replaced with shops and museums with town's glass industry products. Retreat the east side of Nagahama Station, stroll around the market to the left, then go right on the principle road and take the first left after Shiga Bank. After a while, you will find a Square.

5. Monzen-ya

Yumekyo-bashi Castle is just one part of the Monzen-ya, an incredible small display center, where you can see many art works from the past.

2. Miho Museum

This historical center is pretty amazing, placed in the area of Shiga-ken close to the town of Shigaraki. It houses Shumei Family display, which incorporates samples of Japanese, Middle Eastern, Chinese and south Asian crafts. A visit to the display center is something like a visit to the hidden area full with valuable things. To get there, take the JR Tokaido line from Kyoto or Osaka to Ishiyama Station.

4. Storehouse of Glass Art

Storehouse of Glass Art is one of the main things tourists love to see in Takatsuki. If you visit it, request that they exhibit the suikinkutsu, an unusual musical instrument. It is located on the main road of Kurokabe Square. Glass is material which is very hard to produce, and yet so easy to develop.
