Siegburg is a city in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is one of 19 municipal center district Rhein-Sieg. City had a population of 39,560 inhabitants. Siegburg is located in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia in the district of Rhein-Sieg. The city is situated at an altitude of 60 meters.

The monastery is located on the Michael's Mount, about 40 meters above the town of Siegburg. Michael's Mount was first inhabited by the Ezzonen, Count of Auelgau who built their castle there.

The "Victory Column" in Siegburg is the war memorial for the fallen in the wars of unification who were located in Siegburg and in victory circle. The Winged Victory standing on a globe, equipped with the symbols of victory and peace symbolizes the joy of the former citizenship.
