1. Children's Discovery Museum
This place is simply ideal to take your kids to and you will enjoy it as well. Your little boy will feel like the real Indiana Jones when he is allowed to dig fossils. Children can learn a lot here, and they are allowed to interact with the exhibits and be creative. There are different workshops and fun things to do. The downside is that you will pay a full price ticket for every child over 12 months.
3. Japanese Friendship Garden
If you are looking for a fee free place in San Jose which is both beautiful and tranquil, Japanese Friendship Garden is the place. If you are going there by car, you will be charged 6$ parking, but everything else is free. Plenty of greenery, ponds with fish, beautiful walkway, what more could one ask for? This is a great place to take photos because everything is just so beautiful.
2. Singlebarrel
If you have always wanted to go out to a classy place where you will be served cocktail made just for you, this is the place. The important thing is to take your ID with you (you will not be let in without it regardless of your age). When you are seated, you will be asked a series of questions about your preferences and then they will mix a drink just for you! The place is not too loud, so you will also be able to have a relaxed chat with your friends over drinks.
4. Willow Glen
In Willow Glen neighbourhood, you will find interesting shops like second-hand clothes shop, or crafts shop. This is an interesting neighbourhood for an afternoon walk or late dinner in some of the great restaurants. Willow Glen also hides some remarkably restored craftsmen houses.
San Jose might not be someone's first choice for vacation destination, but due to the numerous things to do in San Jose, it is certainly one of the best choices.
