1. The House of the Canons

In the Old Hospital, many patients had been taking care of with so much love and compassion. The Old Hospital was formerly located towards the Saint-Anthony bridge. It dates back to May 1713 and it was stablished by the king Louis XIV.

The Town hall is settled in the building of an old convent of Tiny. Thsi old convent was built on January 27, 1628 by Gabrielle de Gadagne. She was married for Jacques Mitte de Chevrières, former lord of Saint-Chamond. She was the great benefactor if this area. Town hall is important part of every city in France. This also goes to Saint Chamond’s town hall. Building has nice contures and unique design.
Saint Chamond was formed as a fort for guarding one of five aqueducts that supplied the ancient Roman city Lyon. Near the city is a mountain Pilat. That is a massif that dominates at the valley of the Gier. Pilat is agreat place if you want to enjoy in the contact with nature.
