Things to see in Rottenburg

Rottenburg is a city in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. It is one of fifteen municipal center you can visit here. Four years ago, city had a population of over 42,000 inhabitants. Things you must see in Rottenburg are:

A great insight into Christian art are the Diocesan Museum. It is founded in 1862. and it has an excellent collection of sculptures and panel paintings, vessels of the altar of the Middle Ages. The Cathedral of St. Martin is dedicated to the cathedral church of the diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart and Saint Martin. It was created in 1280 and it is known as early Gothic chapel of Our Lady. The parish church was still in the village and it was dedicated to St. Martin. In place of the Marktkapelle, church was erected. This basilica had an amazing structure and its parts can be seen today in Rottenburg,

Hypocaust or hypocausts is a warm air that is produced when a solid body is flowed through. This form of hot air comes from the Roman times and was first used in Roman houses and spas. Today, you can feel it in Rottenburg. Model of a Roman bath house is constructed with underfloor heating. The floor is for better visibility partially cut. It has below-floor heating chamber.

Rottenburg is located in the federal state in the district of Tübingen. The city is situated with density over three hundred citizens per square kilometers. You can visit it at any time of year.
