1. Portus Ratiatus
Rezé dates back to Roman times , when it was known as Portus Ratiatus and Ratiatum Pictonum Portus . It was populated with Armorican Gauls and represented an important Roman port on the south coast of Loire and place for meetings and exchanges between various Celtic tribes in the region.
3. The Station
One of the most popular among foreign tourists is The Station. This restaurant is a real combination of excellent food preparation and pleasant environment. In this restaurant, the specialty is seafood dishes. At least twice a week both offer fresh mussels. Also one of the specialties of this item is pizza with seafood pizza , which is spiced with local shrimp, clams and other seafood . The selection of wines in the restaurant was also very good and the prices are very affordable.
5. Ratiatum
This area is also an archaeological site - Roman port Ratiatum, ancestor Rezé that gradually reveals its secrets. The first discovery was from 2011 but non stop leads to new ones. At excavations at the site, you can see fragments of the wreck vessels, pins, pots, animal bones, and many more from that period .
The town latches are located in a densely populated area. It is surrounded by other smaller and bigger cities such as Nantes, Vertou, Les Sorinières, Pont-Saint-Martin and Bouguenais. This area is limited to the north river Loire, east of Sèvre Nantaise and Ilett, with Jaguero west and south Boulevard Périphérique.
