Poissy is a small town in the Yvelines department in the Ile-de-France region. It is located in the north central France and it is just by the west suburbs of Paris.

1. Villa Savoye

Villa Savoye

The Villa Savoye, was named after its former owner Pierre Savoye. This building is a symbol of the modernity. The vila was severely damaged during the war. The building is shaped as a white parallelepiped. The ground level of the villa was used as a garage. On the first floor, there are wide windows that let the light penetrate in all parts of the house. There are also windows on the roof and at the garden. The Villa became a major achievement in the architecture of the twentieth century. The restoration of the villa started in 1963. In the 1965, this villa became a French historical monument in 1965. Today, this building is open for visitors.
