Must do and see in Palma

Palma is recognizable by the cathedrals of various colors that leave a great impression on visitors. The city has two aspects, on the one hand, this is a modern city with a 20km long row Hotels near the coast, on the other hand, this is a very important historical place with typical rural homes in the area.

1. Cathedral

Despite the subsequent renovation of this cathedral, it is one of the most beautiful works of the late Gothic period. On the south side of the complex Mirador entrance is surrounded by two "Sagrera" monuments . Inside the cathedral, proportions of columns and Spartan decoration give the impression of light. The cathedral is a splendid museum where you can find great items that belong to this cathedral.

3. Spanish Village

Pueblo Espanol is a village that has some great replicas of some of the most typical sights of Spain. Unlike the villages in Barcelona, it is an attractive and undisputed reproductions of famous buildings (Mirta Palace (Alhambra), El Greco House (Toledo) , Plaza Mayor Salamanca etc.) that are the main attraction here. The village is also home to folk performances and demonstrations of the great masters.

5. Museu d' Art Espanyol Contemporani

Museu d' Art Espanyol Contemporani

This museum presents the Spanish contemporary art. The museum is housed in a building that was previously regional bank in the Baroque style from the 18th century. Its permanent collection contains more than 70 pieces by 52 contemporary Spanish artists. It offers an interesting perspective on art in Spain in the 20th century, from the period of Surrealism, represented by Picasso, Dali and Miro, J. Gonzalez and many more.

2. La Llotja

La Llotja building in which maintained trade in the 15th century. The architect of this project was to Guillermo Sagrera. Within the building you can see a remarkable museum that offers insight into the trade of the 15th century , the dome are more decorational than defensive fortification. Gothic windows with a fine strips are in contrast with the severity of the walls , an extraordinary building that is definitely worth a visit.

4. Bellver Castle

Built in the 14th century, it has a beautiful view to the bay. The castle became a prison of Maiorca, one of the prisoners was a writer and Jovelanos in the period of 1801-1808. The castle is an extraordinary circular and this makes it a sleek and modern monument. Within this complex there is a museum which contains the ruins of a wooden polentia.

Palma is an excellent place to visit. Villas and palaces are bear witness to centuries of Moorish domination. So many nice things to do here, you will not able to choose what to do first.
