Morecambe is a town on Morecambe Bay in Lancashire. In 2001, it had a population of over thirty six thousand people. The primary use of the name Morecambe was by Whitaker in his History of Manchester. Its name is very specific and when you hear it once, you will remember it forever. That name is gotten from the Roman name indicated on maps by Claudius Ptolemous. At this moment, it can not be said why this name was used. The Morecambe Harbor and Railway Company was formed in 1846 to assemble a harbor on Morecambe Bay, near to the town of Poulton-le-Sands, and station at Lancaster Green Ayre. The single-track line opened in 1848. In 1849, new track was opened between Lancaster Green Ayre and Lancaster Castle. You can visit it but you must know it is very crowded.

The inn has been restored by Urban Splash with draftsmen from Union North and council department. The Midland Hotel was fabricated to supplant two prior buildings, the North Western Hotel and Heysham Towers, which was changed over from a private house in 1896.
