Must do and see in Messina

Messina is an Italian province, third largest city on the island of Sicily. It is settled opposite to Villa San Giovanni.

1. Museo Regionale

Messina's most respectable display and antic shows are held here very often. The most well known work is the San Gregorio polyptych by Antonello da Messina. In spite of the fact that it is not in excellent condition, its five boards are brilliantly metaphorical. There are additionally two amazing works via Caravaggio: L'adorazione dei pastori and Risurrezione di Lazzaro. Other interesting things to see here is Madonna con bambino e santi by Antonello da Messina. To get here, you can take a train at Piazza Cairoli when you'll see the sixteenth century Fontana del Nettuno and the enormous brilliant statue, the Madonnino del Porto, towering over the port.

Treasury has a collection of Golden Mantle, with the picture of La Madonna della Lettera. This was a gift of the city of Messina.

With its warm wooden inside and prime area, Osteria Del Campanile is a great place with marine food. The menu offers pizza, pasta with fish, meat and fish, all very tasty and delightful.

2. Duomo

Duomo

One of Messina's extraordinary sight is the Norman Duomo, one of Sicily's finest houses of God, and a loyal reproduction of one of Sicily's finest churches. It holds an amazing cut holy place and a colossal monument. The first church was implicit the twelfth century and incidentally crushed in 1254. It was remade a few times. Structure was demolished again in the Second World War in 1943. Almost no remaining parts of the first structure left, with the exception of the stripy marble trim and the Catalan Gothic entrance.

Fontana di Orione

Fontana di Orione is marble fountain built by Giovanni Angelo Montorsoli to honor the development of Messina's water stream.
