1. Markham Museum and Historic Village
The place where tourists can find out on Markham's history, environment and science. There is also huge historic village where you can play golf, discover wetland area, orchards and working gardens. The museum is a place where you can find out things on the city that has always interested you. There are many special events and tours through the year. It is closed on Mondays, and working hours on other days are noon to 5 pm. Admission fee for adults is 6 dollars and 4 dollars for kids under 12 years old.
3. Whittamores Farm
This is large vegetable and fruit farm by the Rouge River. There is a shop that is one of the largest in Ontario and offers many fresh products. Many activities are held there, for example Pick Your Own and Pumpkinland. This is the place where you can celebrate your birthday as well. From May until September working hours are 10 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday and 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
5. Yellow House Spa
This is the place where you can pamper and relax yourself in luxury suites. Reconnect with yourself and discover your inner peace. Take a massage or any other treatment that suits you best.
2. Cedarena
Welcome to the place where all winter lovers can enjoy. This is actually old fashioned outdoor ice rink and it is located on the Rouge River. So, the place is safe and open while the weather conditions allow it, meaning through the autumn season. Admission price for adults is 5 dollars and kids under 15 years old 2,50 dollars. Working hours from Tuesday to Saturday are from 7,30 am to 10 pm, on Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm and it is closed on Mondays.
4. Tangerine Gecko Art Gallery
The gallery offers paintings in every medium and also art pieces in metal, glass and wood. It wants to show local art so everybody can see the soul of the local artists.
