1. La Roseraie
The Rose Garden is a free park built on an area of several acres, close to Hotel de Ville. It has more than two hundred and eighty varieties of roses and more than sixtheen thousand plants. Plantations are aligned and lined with trees. Respect for the environment is at the heart of this area. The visitors can enjoy in the walk along the river near the Rose Garden.
3. Le stand des fusillés
Le stand des fusillés (shooting range) was built in 1895. In the beginning of the World War One, the British Army requisitioned the stand and turned it into the operating room of the Military Hospital. In the Second World War the place was requisitioned by the German army. They transformed it into an execution of convicted by the German military court. Now this place is a memorial monument of the 76 resistant fighters convicted and executed by the German military court.
5. Eglise St Pierre
Eglise St Pierre (The church of St. Pierre) is a very impressive building which is dating from the beginning of the sixteenth century. Church is very interesting and surrounded with great scenery where you can enjoy and take a rest.
2. Le Cimetière militaire
British military cemetery or Saint-Sever Cemetery is located a few meters from Rouen. It was created during the First World War. More then one thousand soldiers of the British Empire are buried there. This cemetery is maintained by the United Kingdom. This is a proof of good cooperation between United Kingdom and France for sure.
4. La grange du grand Aulnay
Barn Grand Aulnay was built on an area along the Seine which was generally swampy. Only the courage of religious people could grow something on these lands. The area was also used to settle sick people during deadly epidemics of cholera, plague or leprosy.
