What to do in La Ciotat

La Ciotat is a small town settled in Bouches-du-Rhône. It is most known for the first projection movies of the Limier Brothers in 1895. Things to explore here are:

1. Abyss Garden

Abyss Garden is a school for freedivers. It is situated in the wonderful area of La Ciotat, which offers international courses of all types. You will figure out how to inhale, exhale how to become experience diver. You can dive around of Green Island. For the family, there are special courses both for youngs and adults.

3. La Maison d'Odette

La Maison d'Odette is recently renovated and it is located in the old town of La Ciotat. Excellent high quality furnishings is available for very affordable price. Be aware that this is very vivid part of the town, so it could be very crowdy in front of the house early in the morning. If you like to sleep until the late hours, be sure to close your window before you go to sleep.

Ile Verte is maybe a little expensive, but definitely worth it. You will have an incredible time here, but visit only in the hot summer days or spring time.

Breakfast is very frenchy and fulfilled with proteins, but if you want to eat outside there are so many restaurants near by. 4. Parc du Mugel

Parc du Mugel is full of fantastic gardens in a wonderful coastal location. You can just walk through the pathway near the beach, or just to sit there, rest and relax. There are beautiful trees and also playground for the kids.

La Ciotat has a large number of offices uptown. These include some big names such as Gemalto and Ball Packaging. These offices are a major source of employment and income for the local people through the transport, catering and other services they require. Also, business travelers to La Ciotat drive the local hotel business, which otherwise depends mainly on the tourism season.
