Kawagoe is a city near Tokyo with southwestern legislative. It is a center city assigned by Japanese national government. Kawagoe is well known for its sweet potatoes, and the nearby "Confection Street" offers such treats as sweet potato chips, sweet potato frozen yogurt, sweet potato espresso, and even sweet potato brew. Some of its boulevards are near old château town of the Edo period. It is a main social spot for New Year festivals.

Kitain Temple

Kitain Temple is thought to have been established in 830 AD. The grounds house is devoted to the Shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa, and unique structures from Edo Castle in Tokyo. The statues, cut somewhere around 1782 and 1825, are all exceptional.
