1. Shiramizu Amidado
Shiramizu Amidado is the most established building in presence in the Iwaki and was named a national treasure in 1952. It was based on the requests of Tokuhime at the end of the Heian Period.
3. Misaki Park
It is located on the easten side of Onahama Bay and lies in area that climbs 46m above ocean level. The park has view on decks and it gives a birdĀ's-eye perspective of the encompassing coastline.
5. Iwaki City Coal and Fossil Museum
This museum gives a complete view at the history and improvement of the Joban coalmine. Presentations incorporate a reproduction of the living states of fascinating fossils found from inside the city. One of the emphasized presentations is a dinosaur fossil known as the Futaba Suzuki Ryu.
2. Iwaki Aquarium
This aquarium concentrates on the sea off the shore of Fukushima,specifically the gathering of the warm air from the south and the cool air from the north.
4. Shioyazaki Lighthouse
The Shioyazaki Lighthouse,a renowned image of Iwaki City, stands tall near Pacific Ocean. It is 80 meters above ocean level it guide boats since 1890. This stone is a remembrance to the undisputed monarch of Japanese pop Hibari Misora. The Shioyazaki Lighthouse was offered in one of her celebrated tunes.
Iwaki City was build in 1966 by consolidating numerous towns, including Taira, Yumoto, Izumi and others. The name Iwaki had been utilized for quite a while. Earlier, coal mining was center of its economy. Today, primary establishment of economy is industry and horticulture.
