1. WetSide Water Educational Park

WetSide is eco friendly, free and fun park where everybody who wants that can learn about the water and its sustainable use. It is alcohol and smoke free area and you can't use bikes, skateboards and scooters and no pets are allowed. It also offers special area for kids under 5 years old, where they have fun but they have to pay 5 dollars tickets.

3. Fraser Coast Discovery Sphere

It provides great starting point for discovering and exploring the nature in the area. First of all here you can meet humpback whale and also hear many interesting stories and traditions by Butchulla People, the first owners of the area. So, come, connect, engage and be inspired! Humpback whales are migrating along the coast of Hervey Bay from April to October. Here these animals usually take rest on their long travels back to Antarctica, so this makes it great place for watching them.

5. Urangan Pier

It was originally built for the export of timber, sugar and coal and its length was 1,108 meters. Today 868 meters is left and in function. It gives great scenery for pedestrians and photography lovers. There are several festivals held here, for example Urangan Pier Festival, it's a fishing festival held every September; and Pier to Pub Swim, swimming competition held in April.

The best way to see this site is to take a bike ride. You can use your own bicycle or rent it there. You can enjoy the ride and the beautiful natural sites and even take a swim. There are numerous cafes and restaurants along the way so you can stop by and take a drink or some lunch. Also, there are picnic tables so you can take a lunch from home and enjoy it in nature. Esplanade is a perfect for the great day out in nature with the kids or alone.

What ever you wanted to learn about the sharks, this is the place you can do that. You can't miss this show because of the huge plastic shark that is stuck at the entrance. Vic Hislop is a local man who is so passionate about sharks and for 15 dollars tickets he will teach you everything he knows about these animals and also show you photographs, videos and many other things with sharks. For example you can see preserved shark's organs and the star of the show is definitely the giant frozen Great White Shark.
