1. SRH Fachhoschule Hamm
In 2005, private college was created, and it is known as SRH Fachhoschule Hamm. The private college of connected sciences began with two study projects with degrees of Bachelor and Master of Science. Klinik für Psychatrie und Psychotherapie of the Marienhospital participates with the University. In 2009, an alternate college was established by the government, named Hochschule Hamm-Lippstadt. The University is partitioned in two offices, each with it Campus region, one in Hamm and an alternate in Lippstadt.

Daily newspapers is the "Westfälischer Anzeiger". From the past, daily paper in Hamm was the "Kreis Hammsches Wochenblatt" established by Heinich Jakob Grote. Its name was changed to "Westfälischer Anzeiger" more than 150 years ago. "Westfälische Kurier" also existed and both existed together until the end of the Second World War. After the War both daily papers were consolidated. Today, you can visit daily papers headquarters and see what reporters do every day.
4. Datteln-Hamm-Kanal
Datteln-Hamm-Kanal is arranged in the urban area. It belongs to greatest waterway port by cargo tranport. There are huge cargos which are carried through this chanell every year. It is connected with near line station for better and easy transport.
