3. The American Cemetery
The American Cemetery and its Memorial The St Sauveur Chape. This small chapel was probably built in the second half of the XIIth century by the knights of the St Jean Order.
5. Old village La Motte
This area is full of beautiful old villages like Trans. Trans is a very old village. It was originally built on the hill of St Victor. This village has ruins of the castle called Forteresse. This castle was destroyed at the end of the XVIth century. Another interesting village is La Motte that has preserved its originality and its peacefulness. The old center, with its shaded places and its fountains, is dominated by a typical clock tower. Figanières is the village from the Xth century. There you will find the old feudal castle of the Counts de Vintimille and part of Italy the Notre Dame de l'Olivier chapel, built in the XIIth century.
2. The Clock Tower
The clock tower from the XVIIth century measures 18 meters of height. It has very interesting story to tell. Its creation was connected to the brave soldiers in French revolution. When time came, clock tower gave the sign which made soldiers to travel to the east of France, and revolution started this way.
4. St. Michael's Church
St. Michael's Church was restored by the generous Abbé Volpato. There you will have a privilege to admire the pretty Provençale working crib. A little higher up, behind the church, go back in time and climb the Stations of the Cross and look at the magnificent mosaics fixed to the rocks.
