Dormagen is a large district town in North Rhine-Westphalia in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss. It lies within the area formed of Dusseldorf - Cologne - Mönchengladbach. West of Dormagen is the district Delhoven and south of Dormagen is Worringen. Things to see in Dormagen are:

1. Fountain

It is located in downtown of the historic Town Hall. It serves only for representative purposes and weddings. There is the New Town Hall in this area. It was purchased in 1996 by the city administration.

3. Phono and Radio Museum

Private phono and Radio Museum is located in Dormagen, which showcases collections of gramophones, and old records, magneto phones, tape recorders and others. The museum presents its treasures and nationally in cooperation with other organizers.

5. Rhine River

In the east Dormagen is the Rhine river. There are tracks and areas for picnic for the whole family. A playground is located there, a small zoo, and fitness area too. There are extensive forest walks. Horse farms are visible too.

2. Catholic parish church of St. Michael

Catholic parish church of St. Michael

Catholic parish church of St. Michael is first church in this area. It is first Romanesque building, are obtained from the three floors of the tower dates from the late 12th century. A later Gothic building was replaced by a neo-Gothic building. The layouts of the two previous churches are embedded in the pavement in front of the church tower. The interior of the new building was designed by the ologne sculptor Toni Zenz.

There are stumbling stones laid by the artist Gunter Demnig in Dormagen. These stones are formed in the memory of the victims of the holocaust and political persecution.

The town borders between Dormagen and Cologne is also a boundary between the districts of Dusseldorf and Cologne. There is a pedestrian street Cologne, a former Roman road.
