1. Château de Dieppe
City harbor dominated by the castle , Château de Dieppe , which survived the 1694 bombing . The castle is now a museum and exhibition space, with maritime collection. It has a very rich collection of ivory carvings from the 17th and 18 century as well as furniture and works of Camille Saint - Saëns. The inner courtyard castle is also very well done and interesting to visit.
3. Dieppe Park
In the center of the park there is a monument erected to commemorate the long relationship between Dieppe and Canada . Because, at the end of the Second World War, the town was liberated II Canadian Infantry Division, in their honor was erected this monument . Based on the monument are inscribed the words "Nous nous souvenons" which means “we remember”. Above the monument, there are Canadian and French flag.
5. Historical Museum
Dieppe has a rich history. It was first mentioned in historical records since the 1030 . In the seventeenth century, this city was the main port of the Kingdom of France and around the major battles fought during the Hundred Years War. Fortunately, during the Second World War, the city has not suffered extensive damage because the German garrison withdrew from the area without a fight during the Allied landings in Normandy.
2. Canadian Square
Another beautiful place in this city is the Canadian Square. This square is located near the castle in the park at the western end of the Esplanade . The square and the surrounding nature provide you the opportunity to relax with a coffee in one of the nearby cafe 's.
4. Canadian War Cemetery
In the south- western part of the city there is the Canadian War Cemetery. Some of the Canadian soldiers who were killed in fighting around the town are buried in this cemetery.
Dieppe and now has a beautiful harbor that attracts many visitors. Near the airport is located and a nice beach for swimming.
