Must do and see in Dieppe

Dieppe is a town in Seine -Maritime, France. It has about 80,000 inhabitants. The city is situated on the banks of the canal English Channel north of Rouen. Dieppe is well known tourist place, which are taken in this area as well as the regular ferry line that runs to the port New Haven in England.

1. Château de Dieppe

City harbor dominated by the castle , Château de Dieppe , which survived the 1694 bombing . The castle is now a museum and exhibition space, with maritime collection. It has a very rich collection of ivory carvings from the 17th and 18 century as well as furniture and works of Camille Saint - Saëns. The inner courtyard castle is also very well done and interesting to visit.

3. Dieppe Park

In the center of the park there is a monument erected to commemorate the long relationship between Dieppe and Canada . Because, at the end of the Second World War, the town was liberated II Canadian Infantry Division, in their honor was erected this monument . 4. Canadian War Cemetery

In the south- western part of the city there is the Canadian War Cemetery. Some of the Canadian soldiers who were killed in fighting around the town are buried in this cemetery.

Dieppe and now has a beautiful harbor that attracts many visitors. Near the airport is located and a nice beach for swimming.
