What to do and see in Coburg

Coburg is a town found on the Itz River in Bavaria, Germany. Its 2005 populace was over forty thousand. It joined Bavaria in 1920 and it was one of the capital urban communities in Saxe-Coburg.

Located at the Coburg Schlossplatz classical building has 550 spectator seats.As a former residence of the Dukes of Saxe-Coburg Coburg has an old theater tradition. In the Baroque period was carried out in 1684 by Duke Albrecht the opening of the first court theater Coburg. This had its venue for 100 spectators in the upper hall of the armory in the Lord alley.
