1. Cathédrale Saint-Louis-Saint-Nicolas
In the mid eighteen century, Louis XV decided to build a cathedral to replace the old sanctuary which was located along the Seine because it was too small. The plan was modeled on those of the great religious buildings of thirteenth century. The Cathédrale Saint-Louis-Saint-Nicolas was designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel. It was built with the materials from the city surrounding such as hard stones from Saint-Maur and plaster from Villejuif.
3. Château de Choisy-le-Roi
The castle was built in seventeenth century by miss de Montpensier who was a cousin of Louis XIV. This castle was built by the plans of Jacques V Gabriel . The pediment and interior design are the work of Etienne Le Hongre.
5. Statue Rouget de Lisle
The town of Choisy-le-Roi decided to build a statue in memory of Rouget de Lisle. The statue was built in bronze and rests on a base of granite. It was designed by the architect Lucien Leblanc at the end of eighteenth century, in1882.
2. Maison des Pages
This building was built at the end of the eighteenth centuryby François Courrejoles. At the times of Louis XV, this house served as barracks and place of residence for the royal family. The façade is decorated with pilasters and bas-reliefs.
4. Ferme pédagogique
Ferme pédagogique (Educational farm) was established in 2001. The main purpose of the farm is to educate the visitors about the farm life. They also have a small zoo with domestic animals which is a major attraction for the children.
At the dawn of the Middle Ages, Choisy was just a small village with fishermen and marines.
