1. La Maison des Arts
La Maison des Arts (House of arts) is the place of culture and arts and it is located in the former kindergarten Jules Ferry. It hosts three different artistic associations. The entrance is free, so you don’t want to miss your chance to see this amazing artistic displays.
3. Forte Bron
Under the defensive reorganization of France in 1874, the town of Bron was included in the crown of forts designed to protect the stronghold of Lyon. This fort was constructed from 1872 to 1876. It was equipped with a large artillery, personnel and a powder storage. This fort was used as a barracks and warehouse for equipment. During the World War II the Germans use this fort as a prison. The army used it until 1975 as an annex to the airbase. Then the Lyon Urban Community buys it.
2. Eglise Saint-Denis
The Eglise Saint-Denis is the place of Baptiste Curial of Bron. The first chapel was built in the middle of 13th century, but it was demolished in the middle of the XIXth century. Several years later the municipalities of Bron decided to rebuild this church. However, during the World War II bombing destroyed much of the building. After the war the church was completely renovated and the church tower was rebuilt.
4. Hall Albert Camus
Hall Albert Camus was officially opened in January 1989. It became "Rhône-Alpes Regional Scene" in March 2006. Hall Albert Camus is a regional place of culture, music, theater. They are offering various programs and eclectic artistic for all generations
It is a small town with thirty nine thousand and six hundred citizens. It is a rather peacefull but also very interested place. It is only seven and a half miles distant from the Lyon. Therefore, if you plan a visit to Lyon you should maybe consider staying in Bron because the crowd is much less and the prices are significantly cheaper.
