Things to do and see in Brampton

In the history city was known as The Flower Town of Canada. Things to do in Brampton today are little different than then, but come and enjoy the city anyway throughout these five attractions.

1. Gage Park

Gage Park

This is the urban park and the oldest municipal park where you can find large trees, a gazebo, a fountain, many floral gardens, kids playing grounds, a wading pool, trails for jogging and rollerblading and many other useful facilities. There is also skating trail where visitors can ice skate. Also, many other festivals and public events are held here.

3. Meadowvale Cemetery

This cemetery is also a wildlife sanctuary complete with the viewing platform and a chapel. There is Veteran's Section and also Garden of Remembrance. This is the calm place where you can sit and think and also discover the beauty of the plants and cemetery.

5. Historic Bovaird House

The house is Brampton's only historic residence, it's a place where you can discover yesterday and today. It is built in Georgian style and it is the perfect example of mid 19th century farm house in Ontario. In the house are many artifacts from the ear when it was built, and there is also a story this is the haunted house, meaning it has its ghost. Nevertheless, be brave and visit the house, it is open from the middle of the February to the middle of December, on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 pm.

2. Rose Theater Brampton

This is the centre of culture, entertainment and arts of the city of Brampton and it is also a home to local organizations. Here you can enjoy many concerts, theater plays and many other shows and the price of the tickets depends of the event.

4. Wild Water Kingdom

Wild Water Kingdom

Formerly known as Sunshine Beach, this is the second largest water fun park in Canada, right after the Calypso Park that was open in 2010. It has large variety of attractions, like lazy rivers, wave pool, different slides. There are also bars and restaurants and non water activities like climbing wall.The season in park runs from June to September. This is fun park for adults and kids, entrance ticket depends on the attraction one want to choose.

The city also has important hockey teams. Things to do in Brampton are little bit unusual for the ordinary tourists, but it is certain you will enjoy the city very much.
