1. Lake Bourget
The town is located on the shores of Lake Bourget. This lake is currently the largest natural lake in France. It presents a range of fresh water of forty four square kilometers which contains about fifty species of fish. Channel Savières is the link between the lake and the river Rhone. This lake is ideal for water sports: swimming, diving or sailing. The climate is great becuase the temperature in the lake area in summer is always about twenty five degrees.
3. Casino Grand Cercle
Casino Grand Cercle was built in 1847. It is definitely worth a look, with its French style romantic theatre and ceilings decorated with mosaics by the Venetian Salviati. Casino has a lot to offer, for example, black jack, poker, twenty one and other gambling opportunities. But, be careful, you don’t want to lose all your money here.
5. National Spa
National spa baths were constructed in 1777 by the King Victor-Amédée III and enlarged in 1932. The building is constructed in new Art Déco style and it has a hall and two luxury cabins listed as historic monuments. Spa was a great part of history, where King fueled his energy every week.
2. Mont Revard
The town is dominated by the Mont Revard which is one and a half kilometers high. It can be accessed by trails and ski stations are marked. This mountain is a great place for hikers, athletes and cycling enthusiasts. Once at the top, all the visitors will have the chance to discover the splendid panorama of the whole area.
4. Bourget-du-lac priory
If you want to enjoy in the peace and silence you should definitely visit small Bourget-du-lac priory. The priory was established in the eleventh century. There you will find interesting Norman crypt and a beautiful French style garden. Garden is equipped with beautiful flowers and interesting plants.
Aix les Bains is a small area with nice things to try. Also this town is the second large French spa town and it has the reputation as the place where you can find a good treatments for rheumatology and respiratory problems. This is very helpful for older people.
