1. Museo Nacional Colegio de San Gregorio
National Museum of Sculpture, located in the Colegio de San Gregorio has a large inventory of Spanish sculpture and many paintings from different periods. The museum displays a collection of the most beautiful wooden statue in Spain, mostly dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. At that time, Valladolid was the center of sculpture arts with great artists like Alonso Berruguete, Juan de Juni and Gregorio Fernández.
3. Colegio de San Gregorio
This building was built in the 15th century by Alonso de Burgos, confessor of Queen Isabella. The church is a masterpiece of Spanish art with lush decorations and fine carving. National Museum of Sculpture is located at this place, the architecture of this church is unique and extraordinary and every visitor leaves a huge impression.
5. Central Square
Located in the center of historic Valladolid, Plaza Mayo is a hub of activity. This part of the city center is located same as City Hall. The house dates back in 1908. The huge open square has beautiful sculptures of 16 centuries old.
2. Saint Paul's Church
Saint Paul Church is characterized by a remarkable facade of the Renaissance. The façade presents a transition from the style of "Isabella" to "plateresque" style. The lower part of the main church, which was designed by Simon of Cologne, with its windows colored roses is a detailed architecture, while the upper part of the church has a clear architecture.
4. Cathedral
Cathedral could be the most beautiful building in the classical arts, but the sudden death of an artists who worked on the cathedral work has fallen into the hands of not-so-skilled workers and it all fell apart. In spite the fact that the interior of the cathedral is not fully complete, is a masterpiece of classical art . Within the cathedral there is a museum that you must visit.
Valladolid is the industrial metropolis, with revived University and lavish carnivals. It is a great place to visit.
